Game - Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 Update Rolls Out for Modern Warfare 2 Players

Game - Interesting tidbits with the Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 Update has begun rolling out to Modern Warfare 2 players on consoles. There seem to be conflicting reports on how big the download is but on the PS5 in particular, it should be around 20 GB.

The good news is, you have until 10am PT to download the update and get ready to join the millions of other players. That's assuming you've preloaded Warzone 2.0, which has been active for a few days.

Official patch notes for the update are not yet available but PS5 players will have to re-download the multiplayer pack, for some reason. Additionally, the launch of Warzone 2.0 coincides with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 so expect support and relevant content to be included in the download.

As a reminder, Warzone progress and inventory will not carry over to Warzone 2.0.

Several PlayStation players reported that they were unable to find Warzone 2.0 on the PlayStation Store. Those still facing that issue should visit the official Call of Duty website, select their preferred platform, and start downloading.

An overview of Warzone 2.0 is as follows:

    New Map: Al Mazrah: Use 18 key points of interest to plot your victory in Battle Royale or explore them on your way to extraction in the new DMZ experience.

    DMZ: DMZ is an open world, narrative-focused extraction mode in which Operators have the freedom to complete faction-based missions, take on additional side objectives, engage with enemy Operators or AI combatants, and search for valuable items, all while fighting their way to exfiltration.

    Custom Loadouts Return: Players will have quicker access to their main Loadout benefit: Ultimate Weapon.

    New Backpack System: Fully integrated for DMZ and simplified for Battle Royale mode.

    New Gulag: The Gulag will be a 2v2 environment where randomly paired Duos must coordinate to defeat their opponents. It will also include Prisons, which will appear mid-match to help speed up the battle.

    Third-Person Playlist Comes to Warzone 2.0 Season: For the first time in Warzone history, we're welcoming third-person Battle Royale action fans during Season 01. suource:playsationlivestyle
