Sports - Interesting tidbit with the Houston Rockets taking on familiar Southwest Division foes in the Dallas Mavericks. Where the Rockets lead I-45 (at least they'll be flying that way) to take on the 8-5 Mavs.
Right now Dallas is in the fun zone where they may have overrated last season, but now has the expectation of a team where reaching the Western Conference Finals is the basis.
It might have been tough enough, but luckily for Dallas they traded a second star in Christian Wood.
I know he was a bit of a controversial figure in Houston last season, but the combination of playing in a good team and being in a contract year has raised his game to a level… similar to his last contract year.
Jason Kidd brought him off the bench, which resulted in fewer minutes but higher efficiency. He shoots career highs off the field and from deep (yes I'm looking at you, the guy pushing his glasses claims he shot 60% from in one season in Milwaukee, but he's 3-5 total, so shut up).
Dallas pulled off a narrow win over the Los Angeles Clippers last night, and may rest one of Luka Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie, who each played 40+ minutes in that contest. If Doncic sits we can get a good one. If he plays, he might score 60. Source:thedreamshake
